Our Team
Our team at NHL incorporates civil engineers, geo-technical engineers, scientists, geologists; as well as project managers, electrical and mechanical engineers, structural engineers, construction engineers and inspectors. Along with the company’s technicians, drafts-persons and support staff, we offer extensive experience in engineering, consulting and site services at the local and international levels.
Our team leader, Dr. Carlton Hay guides the various cross-functional project teams to the most effective means of getting to the goals set.
Dr. Carlton Hay is the Managing Director at NHL Engineering, Consulting Engineers and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Jamaica. He has had over Twenty One (21) years of experience in Consulting Engineering in Jamaica. His experiences encompass the major areas in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical and Materials Engineering, including Road Works; Designs, Quality Control and Maintenance.
His Postgraduate study and research assistantship included extensive field investigations and designs of Landfill sites and their inspection during construction. Pile drivability analyses (PDA), using WEAP and pile capacity analyses and field construction supervision formed a major part of the course.
Dr. Hay worked under the stewardship of the late Dr. Radcliffe Fredericks (Jentech Consultants) for over 5 years. Dr. Fredericks was the leading Geotechnical Engineer in the region and a Fellow of the Jamaica Institute of Engineers.
